BOOK SYNOPSIS

Phoenix is two days out of jail when he meets Robin at his cousin's house, and he knows that he has no business talking to her, but he's drawn to her quiet demeanor, sweet smile, and artistic talent. My Thoughts

Once again author Erin McCarthy has tackled the tangled web of young adults whose lives have been changed by events in their past causing them to finally wake up and see that the decision on what to do next would not be as easy as they once thought.

As someone whose idea of angst at my age is agonizing over “what to cook for supper” I am strongly addicted to the New Adult/Young Adult genres and after having enjoyed not to mention totally loved the first story in this series when this book became available as a digital advance reading copy on Netgalley just had to request it and then was so very happy to be approved by the publisher because “back in the day” knew girls like Robin and wanted to see how her tale turned out.

As usual there is a lot of drama, quite a bit of soul searching and happily by the end some resolutions for both Robin and Phoenix that leave the reader smiling and hopeful that things are working out.

We all make mistakes but the two big ones Robin made were errors of bad judgement with happily for her a new outlook on life.

Phoenix Sullivan however is a whole different kettle of fish but after years of just going through the motions it seems his life is also taking a turn in a better direction.

Interested to find out more about this pair and the rest of the "gang" in next book.
