First I have to say a big thank you to the author of The Advice Girl, L.A. Shaw you hit one out of the ballpark for me! Thanks for sending me the e-arc to review, it was a great read and hope the sequel is coming soon!The book is first off not one that most people would probably pick up off the shelf due to it's name and the book blurb that was written for a short intro into the story... Do not let either one of these fool you this is a very fast paced, intense YA suspense thriller with all the necessary ingredients to become a very well known series in the reading community...I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Kira, Sophia and Ethan... Not only are the two girls the best of the best lifelong friends and room mates but they are poignant believable characters who will make you wish they were real life young ladies to get to know better!Ethan on the other hand, that lovely handsome young man with the accent that just makes you get him to talk simply to hear the sound of the words is one that any young woman would be proud to call her own!What I will tell you in short is this book has a very cruel and evil villain, two young women who as the leading ladies are characters that will tug at your heart with empathy and sympathy for the trials they go through in the book and a leading male character who will make you swoon with delight as he is just such a sweetheart!Not only is this a very interesting look into a paranormal phenomenon but the story is full of action and excitement that makes your pulse pound as the suspense builds and the romance between Sophia and Ethan though quick will make you sigh with envy!If you are a female reader who enjoys young adult books with spicier elements of intrigue, paranormal elements, danger and a bit of more adult oriented romantic scenes than you will want to pick up a copy of The Advice Girl and when book 2 Invoked is released you will want to pick it up too, I know I will!For the purposes of disclosure there was no monetary compensation for my honest and unbiased review of this book.. Nor was I swayed by the fact the author sent me a copy to read, it truly did come across as a wonderful reading experience and I am very happy to have had the chance to get to read The Advice Girl and hope that others will enjoy it as much as I did!
