Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories

After having read and enjoyed the first full length book [b:Cowboy Heaven|21996397|Cowboy Heaven (Cowboy Heaven, #1)|Cheryl Brooks|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1417823240s/21996397.jpg|41303434] via a digital ARC from Netgalley it was great to find this novella as a free read to celebrate the March 3rd release of this new series.

The story is scorching, the characters are well fleshed out for the amount of pages we are given and the idea of trading security for a life of true love is brilliantly played out by Lauren as she comes to grips with the fact that fiance Frederick for all his wealth cannot hold a candle to the passion cowboy Steve ignites upon their first encounter.

While it is too bad that it takes two timing her fiance to find happiness it also rings true that the family she would have married into would have never accepted the real Lauren, Steve however has no problem with her as he accepts Lauren for herself even after finding out her darkest secret.

A nice little interlude before the main event, glad to have had a chance to enjoy this short in the series.
