My Thoughts

This is supposed to be two short novellas, however the digital ARC copy recieved from Netgalley only contains the story with Chelsea Crawford and Ian Rafferty so it is the only one that I am scoring for a review.

When one works in a male dominated field such as Chelsea does you would think that after a few years the fact that promotions had gone to others would have clued her in to some hard truths about the executives that she was employed by. The last straw came however when the latest campaign that Chelsea worked on and was promised would land her a major client proved to be a lot of work for nothing when the partners brought in their newest “hire” to compete with his own input, finally opening her eyes to the fact that all was not what it should be in the workplace that she had given so many hours of her life in the hopes of receiving the advancement she was promised over and over.

The world of high stakes advertising is the setting for this short contemporary romance. It starts out with Chelsea and Ian as rivals but ends up with a delightful twist that warms ones heart.

Fast and easy to read this enjoyable look at a world that can only be described as filled with pitfalls and unexpected surprises, one feels vindicated for both main characters by the end.
