BOOK SYNOPSIS

In rural Montana...
Wade Knowlton is a hardworking lawyer who's torn between his small-town Montana law practice and a struggling family ranch. He's on the brink of exhaustion from trying to save everybody and everything, when gorgeous Nicole Powell walks into his office. She's a damsel in distress and the breath of fresh air he needs.

Even the lawyers wear boots...

Nicole Powell is a sassy Southern girl who has officially sworn off cowboys after a spate of bad seeds-until her father's death sends her to Montana and into the arms of a man who seems too good to be true. Her instincts tell her to high tail it out of Montana, but she can't resist a cowboy with a slow hand...

Praise for Victoria Vane's erotic romance:
"Erotic and sexy...absolutely marvelous." -Library Journal on the Devil DeVere series, a Top Ebook Romance of 2012
"The Mistress of Sensuality does it again!" -Swept Away By Romance
"With Ms Vane's trademark prose and touches of humor-this is once again a brilliant story by a gifted writer." -Romantic Historical Lovers Reviews.

My Thoughts

As a fan of all things cowboy and contemporary western type romance had to give this one a try as have not read any of the other works penned by author.

First impression of Nicole Powell was not really favorable, she came across as a bit too immature for someone who was pushing 30 and had made her way through college on her own merits.

Wade Knowlton did not really present his best foot forward either, even though he did his best to live up to the manners his mother instilled in him from boyhood.

This was however all forgiven once the fireworks started as the Montana cowboy broke down the barriers erected by the Georgia girl whose past mistakes with choosing the wrong man left her unable to place her full trust in believing that she had finally chosen the right man in Wade.

While Nicole still came across to me as a bit flaky for her age Wade had some issues as well so as the two worked out their differences grew a little more invested in their relationship actually coming together with a satisfactory ending.

This book hooked me quickly and as a matter of fact could not believe how far had read before stopping to go to bed, it was filled with quirky twists that uncovered the reasons why both Nicole and Wade acted and reacted the way they did and in the end it left one with a smile at how the HEA worked out for the couple.
