From the USA Today bestselling author of True, Sweet, and Believe comes a tantalizing New Adult novel about finding love in the most unexpected ways…
Kylie Warner prides herself on being optimistic, but after finding her best friend in bed with her boyfriend and flunking chemistry, her upbeat attitude has taken a dive. Even an impromptu hook-up with her sexy new chemistry tutor only brightens her mood slightly. After all, it’s not like she’ll ever see the tattooed scholar again…
While he’s a whiz at complex equations, Jonathon Kadisch has trouble when it comes to figuring out women. So when Kylie tells him that she’s pregnant after their night of passion, he’s at a complete loss. He’s prepared to be a good father—unlike his own deadbeat dad—but he’s less prepared to fall for the genuine and alluring blonde bearing his child.
With emotions running high, Kylie wonders if Jonathon’s devotion is out of growing love or looming obligation. And when heartbreak threatens to tear them apart, Jonathon will have to fight for the only girl who’s ever made him feel whole…
My Thoughts
With each book in the
True Believers series there has been a running theme of overcoming adversity and heartbreaks in the lives of the main characters,
Shatter proves to be filled with the expected roller coaster of emotional highs and lows.
Kylie and Jonathon are the proof that opposites attract, he is to be blunt a genus braniac nerd and she is the stereotype for a
“dumb blonde” but together they find that as a couple they have something that clicks into place and they fit perfectly like interlocking puzzle pieces.
With the support of her friends Kylie finds herself getting past the devastation caused by her cheating ex boyfriend, when she least expects it she finds herself facing some tough decisions that lead to a sense of peace that she embraces completely until the night her world is once again turned upside down.
Jonathon cannot be more unlike Kylie, he is a dedicated math geek, overthinks things to the point of obsession and yet he is also a kind and caring young man who proves over and over again that he can be counted on when things get rough for them both.
As to not spoil the read for anyone there will be no specific details shared but can honestly say that you will find yourselves once again turning pages quickly wanting to see how things turn out for everyone and most of all how Jonathon and Kylie’s relationship issues are resolved.
I cannot believe how much my attitude has now shifted as far as Kylie is concerned, this book totally put me solidly in her corner and Jonathon was just such a joy to read about that I almost envy her!
