AmazonB&NBOOK SYNOPSIS
Vampires are nothing but trouble…As far as beautiful vampire Sadie Pemberton is concerned, werewolves shouldn't be sticking their noses into New York's supernatural politics. They don't know jack about running a city-not even that hot-as-sin new vampire-werewolf liaison who's just arrived in town.
Werewolves are too sexy for their own good…The last thing Killian Bane wanted was to end up in New York City playing nice with vampires. Unfortunately, he's on a mission, and when he encounters the sexiest, most stubborn female vamp he's ever met, he's going to have to turn on a little of that wolfish charm...and Sadie's going to learn a thing or two about what it means to have a wild side...
PRAISE FOR VAMPIRE TROUBLE:"Totally irresistible...Humphreys is undoubtedly a rising star."

No Good Duke Goes UnpunishedMy Thoughts
Have not read 2nd book in
Dead in the City series nor have I read the 5 books in
The Amoveo Legend series from which this came from. However did get a chance to read the 1st book,
Tall, Dark and Vampire which was a kindle freebie prior to release of this third installment and it whetted my appetite to continue the adventures of the secondary characters as they appear in their own adventures.
Vampires and Werwolves have long been at odds in almost every movie or book that I have ever watched or read. This focal point to a story adds elements of tension that always get amped up when main characters from the different factions find themselves attracted to each other which is the case with Killian and Sadie.
Adding to the spice of the forbidden nature of this attraction is the fact that Killian as well as Sadie have enemies that would love to see both of them become examples of what happens when rules are broken.
The problem with rules though is that eventually someone comes along and proves that no matter what love will find a way and as always happens in that case those rules are thrown right out the proverbial window!
I liked the fact that we have a story based on a solid world and characters, the twists and turns taken this time throughout the build up of Killian and Sadie's relationship were cunningly contrived as well as great resolution to their being accepted as compatible by members of both the werewolves and vampire societies.
The final end twist was executed well if a bit hurriedly for my taste.
