For those who have not read yet, or like myself read later than most SPOILER ALERT... Ms. LKH has written the book most of the naysayers last few years have been asking for, once again Anita Blake is more Marshal than heating up the sheets with all the many guys in the series... Anita kicks ass and takes no prisoners and also has seemed to find the compromise on how to be the "good guy" or in this case "good girl" she has been trying so hard for all this time to find... It was neat to get more background on Edward, Bernardo and Olaf this trip to Las Vegas where the big, bad Vittorio surfaces and is finally dealt with. I really love the going back to the origins of the series where Ms. Blake was more "The Executioner" than the girlfriend and human servant of Jean-Claude and the playmate of the shapeshifter crowd in bed... The Ardeur does make appearances and this time they are very much short, sweet and to the point in the storyline not the main event as in the past... I enjoyed this the 17th in the series and look eagerly forward to the next installment where we will probably get more of the home town crowd we are used to in St. Louis, but that is okay missed the guys just like Anita did while away from them....
