I think this time I would have beaned Finn, he again managed to put her in the line of fire and even though she prevailed the cost could have been much higher before the last body fell.It was nice to finally see a glimmer of hope for she and Owen, hopefully in book #9 [b:Heart of Venom|16130369|Heart of Venom (Elemental Assassin, #9)|Jennifer Estep|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1359050337s/16130369.jpg|21955430] the two of them will once again be an item.Mab Monroe seems to have had the last laugh on Ashland's criminal element, it will be interesting how that development plays out in the next book also.As usual the mixture of scrumptious food talk and the bloody action that have become Gin Blanco trademarks have combined to make this a book that is hard to put down and also just once again whets the readers appetite for some home cooking and a chance to find out what Gin will get up to next!
