Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories

Lifelong Texan, love reading from many genres thanks to early childhood readalongs with my Dad, love cooking for my family, working in my yard, playing with my cats and since being diagnosed in late 2012 with RRMS finding ways to keep body and mind active is even more important.

Grave Witch (Alex Craft Series #1)

Grave Witch (Alex Craft Series #1) - I ordered my copy of Grave Witch having fallen in love with Kalyana Price through her Haven Series and occasionally chatting with her on her Blog .... The day I got it in the mail I set it aside to read and when picked it up a few days later it could not be put down until I finished the book completely, first time in a very long while have really read from morning till night in bits and starts and finished a book! The story was that interesting to me as I love anything to do with witches, necromancy, spells, ghosts and the Fae folk... All these things and more are intertwined throughout this fast entertaining first book in the authors new series.. Alex Craft was a very interesting mix of the early Anita Blake character (created by infamous LKH) before all the controversial erotica/soft porn in the books and for me a better version of the Harper Blaine character (created by author Kat RichardsonKat Richardson)! For anyone who is a fan of the Grim Reaper, magic and the Fae you will love this witty, very well put together world that is inhabited by Alex Craft and her allies as well as the twists and unexpected turns that the stories journey takes the reader on... I was very happy with the entire book, both the primary and 2ndry characters were so nicely done this was a very fast and easy read from beginning to end.. There is a new "sheriff" in town who is going to whip the paranormal world into shape and her name is Alex Craft , watch out she comes back for round 2 in Grave Dance summer 2011! I am happily anticipating reading it already!this book is my personal copy bought my myself with no compensation on my part other than the pleasure of reading the book....
