Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories

Lifelong Texan, love reading from many genres thanks to early childhood readalongs with my Dad, love cooking for my family, working in my yard, playing with my cats and since being diagnosed in late 2012 with RRMS finding ways to keep body and mind active is even more important.

The Bride of Casa Dracula

The Bride of Casa Dracula - Marta Acosta I have to admit that this is the only Casa Dracula book that have read as of yet and it was not bad... Milagro De Los Santos is however not going to become one of my go to favorite reading about characters as not only do I find her somewhat too much, but also am not really too caught up in the 2ndry characters either... The book was a used buy and well worth reading as it was fast, easy and actually kind of intriguing in spots.. My problem came when "true love" was thrown over for "true lust" after which some nutty adventures took place, which while entertaining, did not really make me like Milagro and the rest of the gang any better.. There were a few places when some of what was going on made me smile and a few places where I threw up my hands in disbelief and complete disgust! Now to say all that I do want to read the last book to see what happens, cannot help it am too nosy not to want to know the ending of the story lines! For anyone who likes light comedy, drama queens, insecure heroines and lots of descriptions of clothes, shoes, hair and things of that sort you will have a good time with Milagro and company.....Marta Acosta
