Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories

Having lost in the Labor Day fires my brand new HB copy that was given to me to read as a Christmas present it was with high anticipation that started my used copy from a PBS swap member today. While I adore and truly enjoy the adult books written by that author, for me this start to his YA series was just okay. There were a few places in the story where it gripped me totally and could not stop reading, there were also a few places that had me shaking my head at how cheesy the scenes were. All in all though I am interested enough in the tale of Whit and Twisty to continue with book two, as got a cheap deal on a nicely kept used copy of it as well.
